Lucy Dhegrae and Ariadne Greif are Dhegrae and Digression. A very different kind of duo: polar opposites, but somehow best friends. Delightfully mismatched singers Lucy Dhegrae and Ariadne Greif are unveiling a new project that has one foot in contemporary music and the other in performance.
This concert includes the premiere of a commissioned work, Sheree Clement's micro-opera, "Table Manners." A droll duet/duel about closeness, connection and greed with forks, knives and spoons. For two voices, many deskbells and about forty pounds of silverware. Text by Phillis Levin.
The balance of the program, to be announced by Lucy and Ariadne, will consist of recently composed works.
