Carlos "Charlie"Vazquez is a writer, public speaker, and meditation coach. He’s collaborated with the NYC Department of Health, Carter Burden Network, Acacia Network, and other organizations on creative wellness programs for New York City’s most vulnerable residents since 2013. The former deputy director at Bronx Council on the Arts (2013-2018), he serves as a teaching artist for PEN America’s DREAMing Out Loud, a writing program for undocumented students. Charlie is the host of Creative Presence, a podcast where he interviews healing arts practitioners. He was certified through Tibet House’s 100-Hour Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training in 2020 and was the keynote speaker for Acacia Network’s Julio Martinez Memorial Fundraiser in 2023, where he shared insights on the connection between creativity and wellness in his work.
